Description

In a war, it hardly matters what or who you are. It's sad people have to die fighting for their dreams, but it's what they chose and should be respected for their choice. Those who get out alive, should keep carrying the legacy they have received; their lives and futures.

Okay........ I'm kind of at a loss to describe what I see here. I definitely empathize with your assertion about the choices war forces a population to make, as well as its lingering effects on that population, but how you've rendered that idea here is something I've never really seen before.

The message of this image is very clear, and it does have a nice "grittiness" to it. I could be completely off-base with this interpretation, but this looks to me very much like a sandcastle on a beach. The figure in the center could be the child who built the castle and populated it with dolls or action figures (hence the small black bodies strewn all over the hill). The shadowy figures in the background could be bullies that beat up the center child and destroyed the castle, and the wavy lines those figures are standing amongst could be the ocean.

I don't know if any of this was you intention, but if it was, I think it shows a very powerful point; that no matter what form it comes in, war is something that effects every level of society (down to the smallest child) and is something that never really goes away from the collective psyche of that society. Really beautiful work.
